Wingcut for Baroque Violin and 2ch Electronics (2025)
Faded feelings. Cut-off words. A heart that can’t fly.
And yet, somehow, it still finds its way back to something.
Wingcut captures the subtle tremor of emotion that moves even through apathy and resignation.
A piece for the moments when you say something knowing it might still walk away.

Kurioser Kuckuck for Baroque ensemble
(2024-25)
Bringer of spring, bird of love. Brood parasitism (egg-laying), unrighteous husband. Fool. Psychotic. ...
Overlaying cuckoo’s transforming images are musical materials in the piece Kurioser Kuckuck drawn from the cuckoo clock, such as the tick-tack sound and vigorous rotation (“kuru-kuru”) of its second hand, the “cuckoo motif”, descending third, C-A for example, and the sound of wood and the air, breathing, and so on -
In which, the images of cuckoo transits dizzily between three dimensions: the cuckoo of the cuckoo clock, the cuckoo as a motif in classical musical idioms, and the cuckoo as an actual living bird.
And yet - will the love song be still faintly perceived in between?
